MARANGU ROUTE: 5 Days Kilimanjaro Climb

Day 1: Marangu Gate [Alt. 1850m]-Mandara Hut [Alt. 2700m] Arrive at Marangu gate, introduction to your guide/porters. Thereafter, registration before starting your [hiking/trekking] for approx. 3 to 4 hrs through the rain forest. Picnic luch along the route to Mandara. On arrival, leisure with hot refreshments etc. Late afternoon walk to the Maulindi crater for acclimatization thereafter walking back dinner and overnight at Mandara Hut.

Day 2: Mandara Hut [2700m] – Horombo Hut [Alt.3700] After b/fast, start climbing through the Giant Savannah semi rainforest and Lobbelia’s for approx. 4 to 5 hrs with picnic lunch along the route to Horombo arriving late afternoon served with refreshments. Later, evening walk along the Mawenzi route to as far as you can manage for acclimatization purpose. Thereafter descend back to the Horombo Hut for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Horombo Hut [3700m]- Kibo Hut [4700m] After b/fast, start climb with picnic lunch along the route through the semi desert areas, small glaciers, passing sunny ad windy conditions for approx. 6 to 7 hrs before arriving, almost exhausted at Kibo hut for dinner and overnight. You will rest to approximately midnight and then be woken up for final ascend to the summit.

Day 4: Kibo Hut [4700m]- Gillmans point [5600m] or to Uhuru Peak [5895m] Your final ascent start as early as 01:00hrs(1am) going zig-zag through the thick glaciers and sandy areas up to Gillmans point for 6 to 7 hrs. If you wish to continue to the Uhuru Peak[the highest peak in Africa] it is a half hrs to 2hrs away. After signing and short rest, you start descend slowly to Kibo hut for breakfast and rest for approx. 1hr. Later, walk down to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: After b/fast, final descent via Mandara Hut for a hot lunch arriving the Kilimanjaro park gate [Marangu – gate] between 12:00 noon to 13:00hrs After saying good-bye to your Guide/porters, you then connect for your onwards transfer.

MACHAME ROUTE: 6 Days Kilimanjaro Climb

Day 1: After breakfast, drive to Machame gate start walking through the forest the first Uniport camp Machame camp at 1000ft, stay overnite.

Day 2: Crossing the little valley and continue along the steep ridge going into rocki ridges through heater until the end the route turns west into a river Gorge reaching Shira camp at 102500ft / 3900m, stay overnite.

Day 4: From here you down up the junction turn south to the glacier streams where you ascend up to the Uniport cam at 15500ft / 4600m, stay overnite.

Day 5: Early start for Summit UHURU PEAK the highest point in Africa at 1934ft / 5896m, from here you descend to Mweka camp, stay overnite.

Day 6: The day spent descending to Mweka gate, transfer to Arusha for overnite

 - 75% charge on cancellation within 07-14 days
 - 100% charge on cancellation within 0-07 days (no  show)
